Fellowship Workshop
When: Mon, Aug 30 2021 5:30pm
Where: PAIS 1140
Welcome back to another semester!
Next Monday (8/30) CHTW will be presenting an informational workshop on applying to graduate fellowships. We will meet in PAIS room 1140 from5:30-7:00 pm, with an option to join on Zoom (invite below). We will review the most common graduate fellowships and awards, share resources for finding rarer opportunities, and form awriting group for those applying this fall.
If you are a senior undergrad or a first or second year PhD student, this is for you!
If you are interested but not a US citizen, I encourage you to comeanyway. While the most well-known fellowships require citizenship, we will provide resources and support for searching for opportunities for you.
If you are later in your graduate career (or earlier in your undergrad) but would still like to learn about and look for fellowship opportunities and/or join a writing group, please come.
Finally, if you are an undergrad but are not sure you want to go to grad school, come! Fellowships give you options and the act of putting a proposal together can often help you decide whether you want to pursue a career in research.
CHTW is a new initiative led by women at CHTM which aims to increase the presence, recognition, success, and satisfaction of women scientists in our community. We also periodically hold events, like this one, that are meant for everyone.
We hope to see you there!
